For some perspective, Garon used to be a pretty emotional guy when he was much younger and became a more cold person as time went on (his brother Hugo was the more calm and rational one and so was Katerina). Of the two brothers, he was a very decisive, spirited guy and was the people’s hero prince, but politics and war has weathered him greatly. He also likes having some control over his image, so he greatly values his privacy and his skill at just talking to people.

Xander - Although shaky at first at public speaking, Xander turned out to be a really good communicator whenever it suits him. They both possess great perseverance and an ability to lead and convince people to their point of view.
Diantha - Both shared the love and admiration of the people in their youth through acts of kindness, and were generally also the more cheerful of their siblings. Diantha also has a love for writing letters and poems to her lover like Garon did.
Marius - Shares similar amazing fighting prowess and a loud voice, but Garon was not as much of a hothead as Marius was. He is great at communicating with people whenever he wants to, like his father.
Jeremiah - Takes after the regal and cold, calculating part of his father. He is able to make difficult choices even if it pains him rather quickly and isn’t afraid of being hated. He grapples with his moral faults but often keeps it to himself.
Damian - Similar to how Marius and a younger Garon can be very emotional, Damian has a very strong sense of justice and will never back down from fighting for what he believes is right. In a way, Damian is what Garon would have been if he hadn’t experienced the Nohrian Civil War.
Thomas - He is least similar to Garon, so not much to go off of here, although they share a similar love for chocolate and sweets.
Roswitha - Takes after the more cold and calculating part of the older Garon. After being put through the ringer, she learned to believe in the greater good of things.
Camilla - Both are very good at controlling a conversation and negotiating to get what they want. Camilla’s mother Seraphina was also equally good at this, so Camilla is in some ways a double threat in politics.
Liselotte - A very young Garon really liked to pull pranks on his brother with Theresa and Katerina’s help, but that was very early in his life, and Garon is rarely malicious about his pranks as Liselotte is.
Azura - While not actually Garon’s child, Azura does share with him a common weariness to the infighting and politics that have pulled Nohr in many directions. She is also equally sure of her decisions most of the time.
Anri - Also not Garon’s actual child, but he has picked up his ability to talk with people and coax them into sharing more about themselves. He isn’t really aware about it, however, and most people are surprised they feel inclined to talk to him.
Arisa - Same as Anri.
Emil/Mila - Rivals Marius and their father in the fighting department. Mila grown up would have trained to be very, very good at just not dying. Garon himself was terrifying in battle, because people couldn’t tell how much it would take to take him down.
Leo - Both are very big fans of Lucanus of Lorenzen’s work, and adore the operas adapted from their ancestor’s works. Both are very inquisitive people, always wanting to understand something, but are also private people themselves.
Elise - Also an equally avid reader and seeker of knowledge like her father, although not as fanatical about Lucanus as he and Leo is. They also have the biggest sweet tooth in the family.

It was a gorgeous day, sky bright and sun shining, a perfect day for a walk in town. At least, that’s what you thought when you invited Zelgius out for a trip. It would do you both good to go outside, especially after being crowded in the castle for far too long.
He makes sure that you are holding his hand all the time, just so your short self doesn’t get lost in the crowds. Unfortunately, this has led other people to mistake you for father and child, much to your annoyance.
So when you went hand in hand into town, it was obvious the comparisons were going to happen. After all, Zelgius is a hunking brute of a man whilst you are the small dainty summoner that needs protecting.
It isn’t long before someone points it out, much to the enjoyment of others. Oh look, it’s a adorable child with their father, how cute~ Why don’t you ride on his back? Wouldn’t that be easier?
All this talk was making you mad, can’t they see you’re an adult and he’s your partner? Wasn’t it obvious? It stressed you out on how everyone was mistaking you for something neither of you were to each other.
Zelgius could see how tense you were towards the whispering crowd and tried to calm you down by saying that the ignorance of the people should be ignored and not worth your attention whatsoever.
It worked….for a while. You blocked everything they were saying, ignoring the cooing and fawning, ignoring the looks and flirts that were aimed in Zelgius’ direction. You handled it all with stride and didn’t let anything get you down, even though you were getting jealous.
Eventually though, someone did approach you and ask if you were related. You had almost snapped at them, until Zelgius had put his arm in front of you, to stop you. You looked at him and it was then that you knew he had a plan.
A smile on his face, he told the woman in front of you…..
“If it wasn’t clear enough, we are married. Now, kindly leave us.”

It was that time of year again, when Ram Village would hold their own winter festival. It was small of course, but nonetheless exciting in it’s own right. Having fewer people just meant that it would be less crowded.
You weren’t originally from Ram Village, only arriving back with Alm and the others after the war ended. They were coming home just for the winter fes, well Alm was at least.
He had invited you, saying that as his best friend, you couldn’t miss something so important to him. So off you two went down the off beaten back to Ram, enthusiastically discussing what you would do.
Alm was telling you about you about the different types of food available, ranging from orange dumplings to orange fruit pies. All in all, lots of oranges were involved. Oh, how could you forget about the orange sprinkled hot chocolate? It was going to be a delight on your tongue.
When you finally arrived, the village was covered in snow. Icicles were hanging from windows, snow dripping gently from trees…It was quite the sight. Not to mention the food layered on table after table.
Alm laughed as he saw your face drooling over all the food and dragged you to a table, telling you to dig in before presents were opened. To say you were shocked was an understatement.
There were…presents too?! Just how much more exciting could this day get? Your eyes sparkled at the chance to receive something, anything really. Although, being here with Alm was a gift in itself.
And thus the games begin. You and Alm had a competition of sorts: whoever could impress the most kids would get an early present. This was no joke either, those kids were hard to please.
In the end however, it was the children who were the true winners. Getting to spend time with the emperor of Rigel and his trusty sidekick…what more was there to ask for?
It was clear that the best presents of all were the happy smiles of the villagers and having Alm by your side and he felt the same way. He had no better friend than you right now and hoped you would stay by his side for even more winter festivals.
“Right now, you’re all I need right now, no other presents needed.”
